Flashfresh and Ronindata Art
Nevertheless I kept myself going and finally finished some drawings I made some time ago. Please note these are my first experimentations with photoshop and I know I suck but for a first timer I cant complain.
Anywho without further ado;
This is Flashfresh, CEO of the Bastards. The best CEO I have had in EVE and an excellent blogger;

I had made this sketch of him some time ago;

Mr Rixx Javix Art Work
Some weeks ago I requested for Rixx Javix to do some art work for me. To be honest I wasn't even sure if he would make time for me at all, so I was pleasantly surprised he took on the work with both hands.
Job number 1 was a poster for my beloved corp, the Bastards. I have had the poster in my possesion for a few weeks now but simply have not had an oppertunity to post it with something relevant. So here it is, in a non Bastard related post;

Feel free to check out the other sizes on this link, I had to use a smaller size to ensure it fits in this post but please take a moment to check out the link to see the amazing detail.
Job number 2 was a long overdue new blog banner. as you can see the new banner is live, scaled to size the new layout of my blog. The request was for some Bastard affiliation and perhaps a logo, something also related to job number 3. More on that one later...
For the i-podder's out there scared to come visit my blog here is the banner you will never see;

Job number 3 has been completed on Rixx's part, and a job completed very much to my liking. many thanks again Mr Javix, it means a lot to me.
Over the months gone by I have become aware of having readers and I have grown to like it, even crave it. I want more all the time. Rixx however doesnt even use tools like Google Analitycs to see if anyone reads his stuff. Just a small testament to his nature as a giving/not taking man.
A great deal of his time and effort goes into EVE and eve-related activities. His artwork and posters are spread across our universe. I had already wanted to ask him earlier but it didnt seem appropriate. With our business now completed the time was right to ask him to please join me in a CDM adventure.
Mr Rixx Javix has accepted my duel request and I await his choice of rules eagerly, cant wait to meet him face to face (in space)....

T'amber and Ships of Eve
This post could continue talking about the works of Van Gogh or Michelangelo but I guess it would lose readers pretty soon. This post is dedicated to the creator of ShipsOfEve Mr T'amber and the brilliant stuff he has created.
Please note that this is a mere selection of the amazing selection of EVE related art he has created but I had to pick a few to make your jaws drop. There is lots more and I couldn't speak when he started showing me some of his work, but with his permission I present you the following;
Thank you so much for sharing this with us Mr T'amber, I wish you had more time to do more of this as this is truly what inspires us mere EVE plebs.
For those interested, and yes that is all of you, please view the lots and lots of other stuff produced for ShipsOfEve by mr T'amber here.
(ps no, there shall be no re-match between you and me, I have something much better in mind for you sir....)

Friends and Family
Over the past years I have met many different people in EVE and the social aspect of the game has been the driving force behind the Celebrity Death Match project. I still find it interesting hooking up with complete strangers and seeing what the outcome is, some encounters have been excellent and I still keep in touch with a lot of pilots I met over time.
This will only be a very short post as I merely want to draw attention to two guys I met just a few months back but have already had a major impact on my gaming experience. The chaps from Kennsy Fried Chickin Kru live just a couple of jumps from my home system Evati and thus we are practically neighbours.
The kind of neighbours you can borrow a cuppa sugar from but also the kinda neighbours that sneak into your house at night to do unspeakable things to your dog. Both have recently started a blog and I highly recommend you take a few minutes to look over them.
Lady Shaniqua’s blog is the type of blog many of us like to read, combat reports with a hint of humour and class. LS has been a solid guy and we have done some sweet sweet violence on boats when we roamed together, he has been a great help in project Rifter and is a true fitting guru. Friend perhaps but always out for fun and nobody is safe unless fleeted up with this crazy pirate.
The only person that will always be safe is his (one and only) corp mate; Sassy B. Between the two of them their goal is to destroy every ship type in the EVE universe, and take my word for it they are doing pretty well in their quest. Sas has another skill, and what a skill it is, the man is a true artist. Personally I am a big fan of his work now displayed on his blog. Mr Sas is available for commissions; simply eve-mail him or convo him in-game and discuss details with him.
Keep up the good stuff guys, I love your work!

Contest entry
Below you find my entry to this contest. I am very keen on winning something in this although my story is short I tried to make up for that with the drawing. Please note I have trouble uploading images to blogspot atm for some strange reason and this image is uploaded via ImageShack and it does not sow the full image. Please right click to view the full image.
Please also check the other entries, especially this unexpected but brilliant post by Spectre. (And read the comments if you want to have a laugh).
The drawing is made with black felt tips, then scanned and edited with my first attempt of Photoshop. Not the best but I think it should put me in the running for a Faction cruiser at least.
Lakisha
The sour smell of sulphur was intense, but Lakisha’s nasal passages where caked with charcoal and dirt. It used to make her eyes water and convulsion was just one of the side effects of working long hours in the Minmatar ammo factory. The noise was deafening at times, the heavy clanging of metal sounded over the factory floors. New shells where pressed as fast as the machines could handle. Inadequate lighting occasionally resulted in injuries, some minor and some life changing.
Twelve hours a day with a thirty minute break for six days a week paid her the petty wage of 1638.50 isk a month. ‘Makes slavery look appealing!’ her co-worker Hanus joked sometimes. Lakisha would just smile, she should know…
= = =
For six years she had been a captive of the Amar. Although she had been taken forcefully and against her will she had never been treated badly. She worked and did menial tasks for a rich household for no pay but she wasn’t overworked. She was fed three times a day and had a warm bed every night. Over time she had actually grown rather fond of her captors.
‘True freedom can only be found in death’ her owner Khalid had muttered as his last words, the Amarrian ceremonial dagger still protruding from his chest. The riots in the Yakanda Prime moon 4 station had given Lakisha an opportunity for escape and flee back to her home planet. His blood dried black on her hands, a conscience guild ridden…
= = =
Reminiscing of those days made her wonder if perhaps slavery would be better than this hellhole.
Or perhaps Khalid’s true freedom…
‘Lakisha!’ Marcus shouted as he barged a large wheeled carriage into her. ‘Take these to level 4, ready for shipping these baby’s are!’ Marcus laughed. ‘Yes Marcus’ Lakisha sighed under her breath.
True freedom…
The rack of Explosive Artillery rounds was heavy. Lakisha picked up a wrench from a nearby worktop and jammed it in the carriage front wheel. The trolleys height made it top heavy and easy to push over.
Freedom…

Drawings in the making...
I have ordered and am expecting a digital sketch pad any time now and am looking forward to experiment with that!
I am also working on a funny sketch of the Bastard CEO Flashfresh of which I shall post the 'making of...' tomorrow.
Btw again this is drawn with a biro and thus erasing mistakes is not an option, took about 20 minutes.

Ramblings #16 Laptop Skin Art Request
So after some browsing I found this website; www.skinmania.com.
My question/request goes out to all you incredibly clever computer wise artist to come up with a cool design to adorn my new beast.
My RL wallet is pretty much empty after the purchase of the laptop itself so I cant pay real money for any work done, I would be more than happy to pay in ISK as soon as my 3rd account has sold. Lets say 250 million isk for the winning design.
If you would like to participate please send me your entry to nshhkdvr@gmail.com by Friday 13th November or email me if you would like to enter but need more time to complete said work. I shall post all artwork that gets sent in and will leave it for the public to vote.
(ps. my personal prefference is dark, dark stuff, Bastard related stuff deffo gets my vote, but dont let this affect your style =))
