Black Guards have Cyber ... and crew

Nashh looked over the figures Morrigan presented to him. Nodding agreeably he flicked through a few pages worth of numbers and graphs.

'Excellent work Morrigan, excellent'. Nashh flicked back to one of the earlier pages and highlighted a few items. 'Pay these out at market price will you, add 20% extra, then box up the items and send them to Tibbs'.

'Yessir' Morrigan sighed, she never did like that Bastard.

Nashh simply smiled at her. 'Give my regards to the boys as well; tell them to keep up the good work'.

'I will' the loyal assistant smiled. 'How is it going here? Miss me yet?'

'Ha!' Nashh started, 'yeah I miss you alright, but I need you in there babes, I wouldn't trust anyone else'.

Nashh wrapped his right hand around her neck and kissed her forehead. Morrigan looked up and pouted in the hope for a more intimate kiss but he had already turned away...

Oblivious to her advance Nashh started to ramble on about all the different methods he has tried or is trying to recruit more members. He then proceeded to tell her all the reasons why people should join and how he didn't understand...

Morrigan only half listened, nodding and humming in agreement occasionally.

'I just need a few more members, you know, to get the ball rolling..'

'I mean what else hey? What else can I possibly do?' Nashh turned to see Morrigan packing away her Neo-pad. 'You gotta go already?' Nashh looked from his watch back to her.

'Yes Nashh, good luck here though hey' she kissed him on the cheek as she passed by.

'Try calling old friends!' she shouted before closing the door behind her.

'I haven't got any!' Nashh shouted back.

He muttered some swearwords under his breath, picked up the mug of cold coffee and took a swig.

He muttered some more...

Tjirptjirp sounded the high-pitched buzzer on his intercom.

'Yeah what?'

'Good morning to you too sir'. It was Anabaric.

Nashh grumbled.

'Yeah so anyway there are some guys here to see you'.

'Who is it mate, I am busy'.

There was static noise and the volume dropped but Nashh could make out some voices.

A crackle sounded and Officer 'Ana' returned, 'Cyber or some shit and his crew, he says he is your mate?'.

'Cyber? Wait...'

The intercom crackled again and a vague yelp could be heard.

The voice on the intercom had changed.

'Nashh, it's me Cyber, come down here I have news about your recruitment'.

Nashh fell silent for a moment.

'Oi, Nashh!'

'Er.. yep, yes, roger.. I am on my way down now'.

-=o0o=-

With a loud hiss the lift doors opened to the Black Guard hangar. Nashh stepped out, slowly, not really sure what to expect.

Acute and Caldarla stood a little further down the hall in front of a Rifter class frigate under construction. They were nodding as Cyber spoke to them, using both his hands to depict a battle scene or so it appeared. Anabaric and three other figures were in deep conversation over by some ammo crates until one of them looked up.

Delisa excused herself from the little group and made her way over. Nashh smiled awkwardly and stuck out his hand, 'hi'.

Delisa broke out a firm salute and clicked her heels, 'Delisa, reporting for duty, Sir!'.

'I...er' Nashh started, 'at ease...'.

'Yessir, it's a pleasure meeting you sir' Delisa continued, 'Cyber has told me all about you'.

'Has he now...' Nashh looked over Delisa's shoulder and saw Cyber walking over. 'You can call me Nashh, drop the Sir ok?'.

'Yes... Nashh' Delisa struggled. 'I shall leave you two to talk' she smiled at the two CEO's and turned to join the group of men further down the hall.

'Friendly crew you got there Cyber' the Black Guards CEO began, 'I don't owe you any money do I?'

Cyber grinned, 'no mate, I would remember'. The imposing Amarrian slowly looked around, checking out the hangar from floor to ceiling. 'Its a bit empty here buddy...'

'Cyber, no offense but the suspense is killing me...'

'Good news and bad news mate' Cyber smiled and put a hand on Nashh's shoulder. 'Bad news is that I have little to no control over Lex' Cyber looked over at the huddle of pilots, 'nobody does.....'.

Lex sat on an ammo crate with one arm resting on his knee. He looked over and nodded, as if he knew he was being talked about.

Nashh nodded back. 'Right, gotcha'.

'Good news is that your Corp will grow nearly twice-fold in the next 24 hours'.

Nashh looked perplexed. 'I...er..'.

'Unless recruitment is closed mate?' Nashh snapped out of his daze, 'Hell no brother!' Nashh grabbed the Renegade CEO's hand and shook it. 'Awesome stuff!' Nashh slung an arm around Cyber as the two of the walked over to the rest of the crew. 'This calls for a beer! First round is on me!'.

'No Nashh, all the beers are on you...'.

How to make friends and eliminate them...

How to make friends...

So the other day a fresh Amarr militia dude pops up in local. After initially running away from him it didn't take long before he pipes up in local and some friendly banter ensues.

After some chatter he offers to fight a good old 1v1 and of course I accept. He wanted to fight in attack frigates but the ships he proposed to bring spelled certain doom for my available boats. Instead I suggested either T1 frigates or cruisers.

After deliberating and shopping around Lord Servant managed to get together a T1 cruiser.

I boarded an old Vexor attack vessel and warped to the safe of his choosing. With significantly more time in-game than me, my opponent was sure to beat me...but hell, I was excited anyway.

Pinging D-scan revealed an Arbitrator, a whut?

Upon exiting the warp- tunnel I immediately activated scram and web to ensure he wouldn't run away to far and out of the reach of my small blasters.

A full set of drones set to work, spewing hot lead through his shield. I choose to ignore his drones as his shield vanished in mere seconds.

Antimatter charges took a chunk out of the Arbitrators armour and it was looking good for me...

At first I expected it to be a glitch but indeed his shields were fully healed, not so good.

My shields had now perished and armour plates now started losing some of their integrity.

Overload top rack, pray...

His shields had disapeared again and another chunk of armour propelled into the darkness... Good.

Full shields... Not good. Although... at this stage I was confident that his oversized booster could not keep up with the incoming DPS.

Each time his booster activated it was a second too late...

A satisfying flash was followed by the remains of Lord Servants 80 million Arbitrator being spread across the Dal blackness.

GF!'s where exchanged, I gave him back his dropped gear and we exchanged some fits.

Lord Servant is a top guy and good fun was had all round. Of course I questioned his allegiance to the Amarr and tried to convince him to join KGB, but alas.

Regardless, I made a friend...

-=oOo=-

…and how to eliminate them...

Forming fleets can be hard in a small Corp like KBG. We are growing but until we can field our own gangs and fleets we join in with friends or go out solo or duos.

One of my 10 intel-channels mentioned a pair of unsavoury characters were in our area and appeared to be passing through our system. I nudged my US-time zone-right-hand-man Acute Dragonis and before I could even explain he had undocked and was waiting for me.

I undocked in my Sleipnir as I still haven't actually killed anyone with it and it felt like the right time.

Warping to the Auga gate I expected the two pirate BC's to come in from I was a little surprised to find a Dominix instead. Great intel is hard to get sometimes I guess.

Unsure why a Dominix would fly around these parts solo I warped to a spot 160k of the gate.

Brutis Kahn was the pilot; Podla. Well this does generally mean two things; one is that he is skilled beyond your abilities and two; he is highly likely to be alone.

I creep in closer but keep at least 50 clicks of space between myself and the Dominix. Yes I am a little nervous...

D-scan revealed a Legion in the local area and danger loomed.

As Acute and myself where debating the options the gate flashed again.

Lord Servant didn't waste any time and uncloaked his mighty Machariel and opened fire on my Sleipnir. The Dominix also proceeded to lock me up and at that stage it was obvious me and Acute had to bail.

I was still a little confused as to why Podla would be working with the Amarr militia... Until I saw GF's exchanged in local.

Mmmm, immediately I convo'd Mr Kahn to confirm that indeed he expected me to die and wanted to whore on the killmail. Fine, no problem, I would have done the same.

Without too much thought I contracted Brutis Kahn a Myrmidon and we agreed to work together on bringing down at least the Mach.

I have no Battleships available and with what we were facing or possibly facing we made the call; bring out the Thanny.

To the best of our knowledge we were facing at least a Tengu, Machariel, a Harpy and some other assorted chaff. And more possibly waiting next door…

Brutis and Acute both fit scramblers and undocked to secure points on whatever would be out there waiting.

'Point' Brutis calmly spoke, ‘secondary point' Acute confirmed. Come on out Brutis Kahn requested as his Myrmidon started to take heavy damage.

A deep breath preceded me undocking the Thanatos, this could end in tears.

It took a considerable amount of time to lock up the three ships in front of me. First; both the friendly Battlecruisers received some much needed love.

Already ejected fighters sped towards the stricken Machariel and opened fire. Heavy energy neutralizers started to cycle, adding to the pain Lord Servant was now sure to be suffering.

A Cynabal and a Drake had now entered the field and Brutis skilfully switched his scrambler to the faction cruiser.

For the Mach it was too late, sustained fire from 10 combat drones, 10 fighters and 11 overheated auto cannons finally proved too much.

The Harpy attack frigate now joined the fray but with a wrong call on whom to shoot the Sentry guns made short work of him.

Acute positioned himself to tackle the Drake as combined firepower cut down the Cynabal.

In his attempt to get tackle on the Drake, officer Dragonis burned out his scrambler and although free to leave the field of battle the Drake remained to suffer the fate of his friends.

A local spike signalled the cavalry had finally arrived, obviously there to avenge the Machariel loss and the smell of a Carrier kill.

Officer Acute Dragonis and Podla Brutis Kahn docked up safely as several battleships and Battlecruisers landed around the TLF station.

Of course I thought about engaging but the overview alone showed enough firepower to drop the Thanny in less than 2 minutes.

Time to bail.

Sour GF's sounded off in local, followed by a barrage of accusations we blobbed them and can't bring fair fights.

Now I take that to heart actually. I am mostly the guy that fights outnumbered and get blobbed, in most cases die. I am the man that will never turn down a duel, and always return your stuff after an arranged fight. If e-honor truly exists I master it.

With what we were certain to face and with what is likely to come through the gate from the Amarr heavy neighbouring systems I think we made the right tactical calls and came away victorious, righteously.

Undocking in less than we did would have been near certain suicide, I dont even know why I am defending myself here btw...

Perhaps if we would have undocked in 3 BC's and taken a beating Lord Servant would have poured GF's in local and we would still be friends.

Instead I eliminated him...

Twitter here I come...

So I have finally given in to the pressure and also signed up to twitter. Find me as NashhKadavr and add me so I can add you and then we can tweet? I think.

I still have to master the twittering skills but I have a pirate-twitter-hat sorted thanks to Rixx Javix so I guess nothing can go wrong right?

Did I mention I am recruiting yet today? maybe not, come check out our website here;

Black Guards are recruiting damnit!!!1!

With the start of two corps my time and attention had to be split significantly over the last few months.

The WH Corp is ticking over nicely now though and with 2 directors appointed it is working smoothly without too much of my help. I still do the admin and loot recording/ payouts but a great little venture it has proven to be.

Recruitment is still open for the WH Corp but only for friends and family. So if you are not one of those, don't ask.

My main attention and drive is to recruit for the PVP Corp. Facebook, blogs, podcast interviews and adverts, forum spam, recruitment channels, you name it. Nobody will be safe from the recruitment frenzy, don't be surprised if the first thing I blabber out at you is 'so when are you joining?'.

Summertime is over, pixelated-space-boat-captains around the world will be returning after a refreshing break. All the CCP haters are slowly switching of their tanks and robots to return to the one and only game to play.

Come and make space-boat violence with us!

Our forum is alive and full of informative stuffs. Our killboard occasionally has some green on it and we have an awesome webpage with automated application system.

Go on, come check us out here.

So, when are YOU joining? (or folding your Corp into mine?)

A big shout out and all credit to TheHermit, Bastard director and techno wiz, the man behind the Kadavr website, forum and killboard. This sick puppy is also the creator of this little gem. You interested in one of his many services? Drop him a mail in-game! More on TheHermit's awesomeness soon...

Frigate Lovin

So over the last few weeks I have been bringing in a small stack of Rifters, losing them nicely here or there.

Being part of the militia allows for targets at gates and stations whilst flying frigate-hulls. Yes, targets are halved as we don’t shoot our own militia but in general it has been nice to take out frigates and shoot stuffs without worrying about sentry-fire.

In some cases I have been rather careless and lost Rifters without paying attention but for the low cost of the Rifter risks can be taken occasionally.

The crappy intel-channels for our militia piped up to say there where a few Amarians repping a POS in Auga the other day after Pandemic Legion dropped some bored pilots on it. Anyway, no fleet could be mustered to go and shoot at them. So that leaves just one thing; take out a Rifter and do it myself, right?

I warped 100 clicks from the moon where the POS was based to find 2 Interceptors and 3 Scimitars doing their thing. I align the Rifter back to the Dal gate, knowing that it would never actually make it to that gate.

With the two Microwarpdrive-propelled vessels chasing my much slower Rifter I waited for the right moment, switched off my afterburner, turned around and overheated my way towards the Ares. Overheated mid-slots latched on, both scram and web, overheated auto-cannons spat hot lead, the rocket-laucher firing beyond its intended capacity.

With the Ares in structure I deactivated the scram to catch the Imperial Navy slicer that had found himself within range. As the Slicers MWD shut off the Ares erupted in a bright blue flash of victory. Regardless of the outcome I had already won the isk war.

The Slicer like any other purely gank-fit had little protection from my Rifters fury and within seconds its shield where stripped to reveal a thin layer of armour. But 2 Scimitars at the POS had burned the other direction and had warped themselves right on top of us. An eyewitness claims there where three but I cannot confirm this.

Indeed my fate was sealed; damage I did put out was immediately mitigated by the Logistic Cruisers repping abilities. The Rifter still lasted a considerable amount of time but eventually burst into a grey plume of smoke.

GF! and great fun had. I loved the smack I received from some of the ‘’Amarr-under-14-squad’’ later that day as well. Epic stuff…

Blnukem 192 ; Nashh Kadavr back to lose another ship?

Blnukem 192 ; Like a boss.

Nashh Kadavr ; dunno have you got any to lose?

Blnukem 192 ; Yes, you do.

MEME; my first recorded loss.

After Kirith Kodachi started this meme a little while ago I figured I should pipe up and show you mine. I owned a character as my main before Nashh so the truth is I actually lost a caracal with mixed sized shield, 100mm armorplate and mixed sized launchers with 8 different types of ammo in my hold but lets not talk about that one hey...

Nashh's First recorded loss is one I remember rather well. Nashh started out as a hauling alt and my then second main was Desmun (rip). Desmun did my building and inveting etc at the time and I started collecting all the sub BS blue prints for ships and eventually ammo and the likes. That was before I realised that non of those endevours made me any money whatsoever.

Anyways long story short; I raced to some unknown system to pick up some blueprints I had purchased and activated the auto-pilot back to my then homesystem. the entire route was highsec and with no experiance in ganking or evil in our glorious and safe hi sec I resumed other activities on another account.

Our very distant futures currency is Icelandic Kronur?!?

So on my way to New York today I had a little stop off in Iceland. Not long enough to see any of its real beauty but I did regret not transferring a few billion of my game money to my rl account...

Black Guards have Kodachi .... Kirith Kodachi

Me and Kirith go way back... Somewhere in CDM heydays we fought a few awesome scraps and I have been a big fan of his blog for a long time. In fact he is likely a reason I started blogging myself and am still.

Two years ago I tried to convince Kirith to come join the bastards but was fairly quickly rejected. M3 was still going strong at the time and Kirith was going to sit it out a bit longer in nul.

For the last few months I restarted my pursuit of acquiring him into our ranks. Hard work and some agonizing waits (and the demise of M3) but finally...

... the blogging behemoth will be shooting stuff in low sec and shooting the right direction too!

(not at me that is, not on purpose anyway)
